Comprehensive Evaluations
Whole-Child Evaluations for Clarity, Insight & Next Steps
A comprehensive evaluation provides a full picture of your child’s learning, behavior, and emotional functioning. This is a good fit when there are multiple concerns or a need for deeper understanding. We provide evaluations for children and adolescents ages 2–21.

Common Reasons Families Seek Comprehensive Evaluations
- Developmental delays
- Neurodivergence
- Learning or academic challenges
- Attention or executive functioning concerns
- Social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties
- Mental health concerns
- School refusal or avoidance
- Trauma, prenatal exposures, and/or head injury
- Diagnostic clarification
What to Expect
We use a range of evaluation methods to build a comprehensive understanding of your child, which may include:
- Comprehensive review of records
- Interviews with caregivers and, when appropriate, school staff and outside providers
- Questionnaires completed by caregivers, teachers, and students
- Direct testing with your child
- Observations in clinic and, when appropriate, in school or community settings
- A feedback session to review results, discuss strengths and areas of need, and provide recommendations for support

What You’ll Receive
The evaluation results are summarized in a comprehensive report that highlights your child’s strengths, areas of need, and recommendations for support, including:
- A detailed written report
- Diagnostic impressions, when applicable
- Recommendations for home, school, and community settings
- Guidance for next steps and support services
In addition to identifying areas of concern, we highlight your child’s strengths and the supports that can help them build on those strengths across settings.
When requested, we collaborate with school teams to help families navigate next steps and implement recommendations.
