Consultation & Collaboration
Collaborative & Coordinated Support

School-Related Collaboration & Coordination May Be Helpful For
- School avoidance and refusal
- Mental health and behavioral challenges impacting school performance
- Learning disabilities
- Executive functioning issues
- Social skill challenges
- Challenges that occur across school and after-school settings
- Aligning therapeutic support with medication and other medical interventions
- When medical diagnoses impact functioning
- Complex mental health presentations
- Adolescent-to-adulthood transition
What to Expect
Coordinated services are planned for collaboratively and added when they would benefit your child or family. This may include:
- Collaboration between providers within our practice (e.g., individual therapy and parent coaching)
- Communication with schools, medical providers, and other members of your child’s support team
- Participation in school meetings (IEP, 504, re-entry, etc.)
- Ongoing review and adjustment of treatment goals across settings
Our goal is to help ensure that the important people and environments in your child’s life are working toward shared goals and consistent support strategies.
