Dorothy is a licensed Mental Health Counselor, certified school psychologist, and teacher. She earned her Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Washington, building a strong foundation in child development, assessment, and school-based mental health supports.

Dorothy’s professional experience extends across a wide range of student needs and grade levels in both public and private schools throughout Washington, expanding her understanding of diverse school-based needs. Her role as a Behavior Specialist strengthened her expertise in developing student-centered intervention plans, collaborating with school teams, and providing counseling within educational settings. Dorothy provides in-clinic and in-home counseling services, including individual, family, and parent support. She works with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, emotion regulation challenges, and related concerns. In addition, Dorothy has expertise in school refusal. She works closely with students and their families to address the underlying challenges impacting attendance and collaborates with school districts to design and implement programs that promote consistent, positive daily engagement in school.

Across all of the services Dorothy provides, her approach emphasizes collaboration, skill-building, and identifying strengths in order to foster positive mental health and well-being for children and families in the community.

When she is not working, Dorothy enjoys doing anything outdoors with her family from skiing to gardening. She also loves baking and is an avid reader.
