Brooks Powers Group has a longstanding passion for working with families and school teams who are experiencing significant stress related to children’s complex mental health, learning, and behavioral challenges. We have earned a positive reputation for serving others in homes, schools, and other settings. Because the research is clear– early, evidence-based intervention can drastically change the trajectory of children and improve stress levels and enjoyment of home life for the entire family, we are excited to now offer early intervention and prevention services for families of children with developmental delays, differences, and challenging behaviors.
Specific Services
Autism and Related Developmental Disabilities
- Early Monitoring and Diagnosis The early intervention and prevention team provides early screening, diagnosis and monitoring of children with suspected autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related disabilities (12 months and up).
- We have expertise in monitoring infants at high genetic risk and identifying early red flags for ASD and related developmental needs.
- Family Support: BPG is committed to providing parent support and follow up care following any diagnosis. Whether a diagnosis was provided in our clinic or elsewhere, we work with families to address their questions, get first steps of a home system established, and access resources in the community.
Parent Coaching
- Individual Therapy and Parent Coaching Managing children’s needs within the realities of busy life can be challenging. Whether it is assisting with balancing your schedule or addressing specific behavioral challenges, we can help you balance your child’s needs with your family life. With young children who have challenging behaviors, successful intervention can require working with the family as a whole. Our providers will work with you via a combination of parent sessions and child sessions. Strategies are drawn primarily from principles of the evidence-based program Incredible Years in combination with Helping the Noncompliant Child and other evidence-based and individualized approaches depending on your family’s specific needs.
