Hugh Stephens, BA
Behavior Support Coach
Hugh earned his BA in Sociology from Seattle University and brings extensive experience in creating structured and effective behavioral supports for children and adolescents.
His professional experience includes years of implementing behavior plans and providing safe, effective milieu management on Seattle Children’s Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit. He also worked in the Education Department on the PBMU to provide social, emotional and behavior supports so that patients could access education services while hospitalized.
Hugh supports the development and implementation of behavior plans for children with social-emotional needs. He works directly with families in their homes, coaching parents to manage challenging behaviors, and assists teachers in running classrooms that meet the needs of students with special needs. His work emphasizes practical strategies, consistency, and collaboration to foster positive behavioral outcomes and a supportive environment for children.
Hugh draws from a hands-on, strengths-based approach, tailoring interventions to each child’s needs and collaborating closely with families and school teams to build resilience, social-emotional skills, and long-term success.
Outside of work, Hugh enjoys traveling abroad and finding balance and inspiration in his personal life.
